A few dog-eared corners. Slight gutter cracking. Occasional heavy stains and marks. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper and pastedown with a prize stamp. Faint creases to some pages. Boards have heavy edge wear, with intense bumping and fraying and loss to corners, while spine ends are very crushed and frayed. Joints worn too with splits. Scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Pale stains and small holes front and rear. Gilt is bright.
