Signed by the author: 'For Barbara and Jasper, August 1956. Jack White'. Pages are slightly tanned with minor foxing throughout and occasional sun stains. Heavier foxing to pastedowns and endpapers with some pencil marks and inscription. Binding is shaky. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Pronounced split to both joints. Noticeable stains, marks and dents to boards. Heavy sunning to spine with prominent crushing to spine ends and some water stains. Book has slight forward lean.
