Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout, heavier at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Heavily cracked binding. Exposed binding thread at the hinges. Pages partially detached from half title up to the first page of chapter 1. Rear board bent, cracking visible. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a heavy forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Creasing to spine cloth.
