Thousands of new words have been added to this third edition of the "Collins English Dictionary". Latest new editions include the definitions of "aquaerobics", "cardboard city", "chaos theory", "pro-choice", "shell suit", "snowboarding", "virtual reality" and "white-knuckle". As in previous editions, over 200 fields of knowledge have been surveyed to take account of the latest research and development. The resulting coverage, from aeronautics to zoology, is therefore highly detailed. Subject areas in which language has been changing include education, sport and business.
