Derek Piggott on Gliding Résumé

Derek Piggott on Gliding Derek Piggott

Exciting and accident-free gliding requires skill in the basics of turning, landing, dealing with adverse weather conditions and getting out of dangerous situations. This book offers instruction in each of these aspects and includes a comprehensive guide to gliding instruments. There is also practical advice on the perils of buying a new or second-hand glider. The author's own line drawings illustrate the text throughout. Derek Piggott has experience of gliding in all its forms. He served with the RAF as both pilot and instructor, and is former Chief Instructor at the Lasham Gliding Centre.
