The Law related to Town and Country Planning has a major impact on the physical environment and the lives of individuals, whether they be developers or private citizens. The main aim of this book is to provide a text for students, practitioners and members of the public who are engaged in the study, practice or personal involvement in the planning system of England and Wales. Each chapter deals with a particular aspect of planning law. Where appropriate an additional chapter is included which deals with the case law amplifying the contents of the legislation. In addition, the main issues are summarised on a separate and at the end of chapter. The book also outlines other areas of land law which relate to environmental control.
